FALL LEAGUE SIGN UP DETAILS

Our fall league begins on Wednesday August 5th. Ladies division begins at 5:00pm with warmups at 4:30pm. The men’s division begins at 7:00pm with warmups as soon as the Ladies games finish. The league will be held at the Bob Edger Memorial Courts at Pirozzolo Park in the Town of Elmira (see map below). The 8-week session will run through September 23rd (Sep 30th if we need to make up for a rain day) with a pizza party on the last night of play.

This is a Ladder League and is run through the Pickleball.com (formerly Pickleball Brackets) website. Standings will be based on games won with the tie breaker being total points. If there is a tie after these 2 factors are calculated, the higher ranked player from the previous week will advance. Scores for each match will be entered by the players at the conclusion of each game.

For Regular Players: All regular players will be opted in by the League Committee each week after the previous session is closed. If you are not able to play on any given week, please opt out as early as possible so that substitutes may be contacted and scheduled. We ask that all regular players consult their schedules before entering as it is expected that all regular players will be able to attend all 8 weeks of play. We understand that sometimes conflicts are unavoidable but finding substitutes is difficult and places a heavy burden on the committee volunteers. If you think you may have to miss more than 1 week, we ask that you consider registering as a sub. Any participant that misses a second league day will be penalized by moving 1 rung down the ladder.

For Subs: The committee will contact potential substitutes each week. Note: Subs do not pay a fee to play in the league but must be a PATT member.

In case of inclement weather we have 2 options.

1 - We may cancel the league night and make it up on 9/30

2 - If courts are available, we will move the league to FLX Pickleball at the Arnot Mall. We will advise players via text as soon as we are able to make a decision (which could be as late as 4:00 on game days as we attempt to best manage the unpredictable weather).

In case of injury during play when a player is unable to continue: only the completed games will count.
